Meryl Streep's Story

Another visit to the shelter, and Meryl’s effortlessly regal vibe and calm disposition amidst the surrounding noise were simply too hard to ignore. Two ear surgeries later and this good girl is all healthy and ready to find her forever home, and she has an adorable wonky ear to match! Meryl is estimated 6-7 years old and is around 60lbs and dog friendly. She gets spurts of energy, but is generally low key, loving her bed and pets above all else!

The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family. Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun! Our adoption fee is $400
