Meryl is one of four dogs being surrendered from a home in Tennessee because their owner has decided not to keep them. Meryl has been posted for 2 long years!<br/><br/>UPDSATE: Meryl is crate trained. He is a little more energetic. He loves his toys. He gets along with other dogs as long as he doesn't have to share. He is great around kids having always been around them. He also prefers to stay outside so someone with a farm or big yard would be a great home for him. <br/><br/>Meryl is an energetic boy - true to his breed. He would be best in a home with a large yard or places he can run and explore. He is best when busy with toys or activities to keep his mind active. He isn't a huge fan of his leash. He is a smart boy who knows sit, go to your crate, and always comes when called. He has lived with kids and loves them. He does ok with other dogs but doesn't like to share food, toys or his dog house, so he would thrive as the only dog in the home. With slow introductions he might be ok as long there is no sharing involved.<br/><br/>All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
