She’s always up for playtime, and after giving every toy a fair test, she proudly declared the spiky blue squeaky ball the best of the best—it’s her absolute favorite and she’ll happily show it off to anyone who will watch. <br/><br/>But Mermaid is more than just a toy connoisseur—she’s a gentle soul who adores people and makes fast friends with other dogs. Her happy, easygoing personality shines through in everything she does, whether she’s wagging her tail for attention, trotting around with her ball, or curling up for some well-earned snuggles. <br/><br/>With her sweetness, spunk, and big heart, Mermaid is ready to brighten every day and bring endless love to her forever family. <br/><br/>Mermaid is a fun and friendly American Bulldog mix! She is 4 years old and she weighs 60 lbs.<br/> <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives?
