*** RESCUE ONLY ***<br/><br/>MERLIN – RESCUE TRANSFER NEEDED<br/><br/>Merlin is a handsome, adult Pit Bull Terrier mix who has been waiting too long for his second chance.<br/><br/>Found tied up and abandoned, Merlin came to our shelter with very little known about his past. What we have learned over time is that Merlin is a confident, intelligent dog who thrives with structure, consistency, and experienced handling. Merlin's biggest challenge is managing his excitement and arousal levels. He becomes highly focused on toys and objects, and when overstimulated he can redirect that energy toward leashes and handling equipment or even the handler/person. Because of these behaviors, Merlin is not currently a candidate for adoption and is seeking placement with a rescue organization that has the resources to provide a dedicated behavior modification plan.<br/><br/>We believe Merlin deserves the opportunity to work with experienced behavior professionals who can help him reach his full potential.
