Merlin

Meet Merlin — a little gentleman with plenty of magic left!

Merlin is a 10-year-old, 9-pound Shih Tzu mix who was found aimlessly wandering the streets of Detroit. This sweet senior deserved so much more than trying to find his way alone. Now safe and cared for, he is ready for a family who will treasure him throughout his golden years.

Don't let his age or cloudy eyes fool you—Merlin is still spry, peppy, and happy to be part of the world! Mature cataracts have left his eyes white and his vision poor at best, but they haven't dimmed his enthusiasm for life. He confidently seeks attention and welcomes human touch, even when he doesn't see it coming. A friendly voice is a wonderful invitation for this social little fellow.

Merlin's hearing is spot on, and his trusty nose is always ready to lead him toward dinner or a tasty reward. He enjoys short jaunts through familiar territory and will need time to learn the layout of his new home. Once he has mapped out his surroundings, he can put that knowledge—and his other sharp senses—to work. He will need supervision around stairs and protection from unexpected drops to help him explore safely.

This charming boy does well with other dogs and has no concerns with cats. He is eager to please, enjoys human interaction, and seems simply delighted to be alive, safe, and included.

Merlin may not be able to see his future clearly, but we can picture it for him: a comfortable home, gentle hands, familiar voices, and a family who loves him furever.

Give Merlin a soft place to land and someone to love—he deserves the very best of his remaining golden years.

Merlin is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Neutered

ADOPTION FEE: $250

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM.
