🎶 Mama Tried… but Merle is ready for his own adventure! 🎶<br/><br/>This handsome little guy is Merle, a 16-week-old male Idaho Shag/Border Collie mix — and the only boy in his litter. Named after Merle Haggard, he’s got the cool country name, the black-and-white good looks, and a whole lot of puppy potential wrapped up in one adorable package.<br/><br/>Merle is the biggest of the bunch, and we do expect him to grow into a large dog. He can be a little timid at first, but once he feels safe, he warms up into the sweetest, snuggliest boy. He loves being held, loves to cuddle, and has gained a lot of confidence hanging out with the big dog in his foster home.<br/><br/>This boy is also smart as a whip! Merle learns quickly, is playful, and is already doing amazing with his puppy basics. He is potty trained, kennel trained, and sleeps through the night. He didn’t seem too concerned about cats, but he did try to herd the goats — so this little country boy may have some working-dog instincts, too.<br/><br/>Spring and summer are the perfect time to adopt a puppy if you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your adventures.
