Merida's Story
I’m trying to be brave like Merida in the movie but it can be hard sometimes! I might take a little time to warm up, so please go slow with me at first. Giving me treats helps a lot because that tells me you're a friend! I also love when people use baby talk to make me feel more comfortable. I like to crawl in your lap and walking close to you so I feel reassured. And once I know you a little better, I'll give you lots of wiggles!! I'd benefit from continued confidence building, gentle affection, and positive experiences. Come visit me today!

Kids:
10+, may be worried at first

Dogs:
Tolerated sniffing, nervous about fast movements and loud noises, slow intros with gentle dogs

Heartworm positive – APS is currently offering heartworm treatment at no additional cost through our foster-to-adopt period.
