Meredith- deaf's Story

8/20/13- ADOPTED!!!.......Meredith is now 2 years old, (dob 8/19/10) is a gorgeous 45 lb white deaf boxer. Adoption fee is $225... She is deaf and has to have a safe fenced in area to expend her energy when outside. She is an indoor dog. She needs someone that can work with her in regards to her deafness. If she has an allergic reaction, she gets very agitated until it gets under control. She eats in her crate as she wants to eat the other dogs food. She will only go to sleep when she is next to her Foster Mom. She has to have other big dogs who will play with her and so she will not be alone. She is crate trained and house trained. She needs to be crate trained as will chew things up and has separation anxiety. She knows the signs for sit, cookie, no, come and is VERY SMART!! She loves to play with lighted or tennis balls and ropes and the other dogs. She wakes up ready to play. She can be a lot to handle at times, but is such a comedian and makes great eye contact. She is rough outside with our Boston Terrier so we recommend no small dogs. She really pulls on the leash and is very strong so needs help in that area, especially when going to the vet office or PetsMart. She is in a foster home and they know all about her and she does well and has been there since she has been 8 months old.. She is spayed, up to date on shots and rabies, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention.Get your application in to adopt this sweet girl who will need special attention with the deafness and the right home. Here is another video of how she plays with other dogs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MyYhiG7Ssk&list=UUsq7LxE9Ja864Hv2eSz-pUA&index=27&feature=plcp
