Mercury's Story

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at Paradise Island in Staten Island from 11am - 3pm! Mercury is a 7-month-old, 23-lb Shepherd mix who's pretty much perfect. She's quiet, respectful, and a great listener who loves attention from her foster. Mercury is eager to please, picks up commands quickly, and is about 90% housetrained when kept on a schedule. She's gentle with everyone she meets - even the resident cat - and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to have around. Mercury is currently being fostered with her sister, Moon, and would make a wonderful addition to just about any household. If you're looking for a sweet, well-mannered, and loving companion, Mercury might just be your girl. Mercury is currently being fostered in Queens, NY. Her adoption fee is $500. To adopt a pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our dogs and cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations (including rabies), microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any medical issues identified during veterinary examinations. Dogs are also heartworm negative and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee helps cover these services and supports our ongoing rescue work. Please note that our pets come from shelters, so we cannot guarantee age, breed, mix of breeds, or adult size.
