Meet Membrillo!<br/><br/>This adorable pup is one of 9 adorable new low-riding pups who just arrived in Bend, Oregon all the way from Tijuana, Mexico! These charming little dogs are believed to be Chihuahua and possibly Dachshund mixes - the perfect combination of tiny, scruffy, long-bodied cuteness that some might lovingly call "chiweenies." With their short legs, big personalities, and adorable faces, it's safe to say this crew is already stealing hearts.<br/><br/>Their story began after their owner sadly passed away in Tijuana. Thankfully, compassionate local rescuers stepped in to ensure these dogs were brought to safety and given a second chance at life. Now, they've officially made it to the Pacific Northwest, and we're so excited to be part of their next chapter as they begin the journey toward finding loving forever homes. At this time, these pups are just settling into our care and we're still learning more about their individual personalities, temperaments, and needs. We're currently working through their medical and veterinary care and coordinating temporary foster homes while they continue decompressing and preparing for adoption. As we receive more updates from foster families, we'll continue sharing more about each of these adorable little dogs and their unique personalities.
