Ever.<br/><br/>This is printed on the collar Melvin wears, and this sweet boy tries his best every day to be the best dog ever.<br/><br/>Melvin is a joyful, goofy, four-year-old boy who hasn't had it easy. He was pulled by the rescue from the shelter, at which time a urinary issue presented. After surgery, he is doing well, albeit with a minor drip that doesn't require a diaper.<br/><br/>Melvin's disposition when inside is excellent. He mostly sleeps when he isn't following his foster around. He doesn't counter surf or get into trash bins, and he hasn't destroyed anything at all. To put it mildly, he is a dream!<br/><br/>Melvin loves to go for car rides, joyously bounds around the backyard when playing, and considers meal times the best parts of his day! He is crate and house trained.<br/><br/>The outside world can be an uncertain place for Melvin. Due to his fears, Melvin can be quite reactive in some situations, but he's doing wonderfully with receiving treats instead of reacting when he encounters perceived dangers, such as bikes, other dogs, joggers, etc. While he refused to cross the street when he first came to his foster home, he now enjoys walking throughout the neighborhood. With trust in his person and with continued training, Melvin will become more and more confident when negotiating the world.
