*Name: Melusine<br/>*Age: 3 years, 7 months (born approximately August 2022) <br/>*Current Weight: 37lbs<br/>*Rescued from: Thailand<br/>*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)<br/><br/>Meet Melusine — a resilient, joyful boy with a heart as big as his story.<br/><br/>Melusine was rescued by Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand in August 2025 after surviving a devastating road traffic accident. When he arrived at the shelter, he was suffering from severe injuries including a protruding left eye, lameness in his left forelimb, and a collapsed lung. To relieve his pain and save his life, the veterinary team performed emergency surgery to remove his injured eye, repaired and stabilized his elbow with a cast, and treated his collapsed lung. Thanks to exceptional veterinary care, dedicated nursing staff, and Melusine's own incredible spirit, he made a full recovery.<br/><br/>Today, Melusine is thriving. He is a confident, affectionate, and social dog who approaches life with excitement and curiosity. He loves greeting visitors, happily bouncing over for walks and attention. Melusine gets along wonderfully with other dogs, enjoys playtime with his canine friends, and confidently explores both calm and busy environments alike. He walks well on leash, enjoys adventures, and loves staying close to his people for pets and companionship.<br/><br/>Despite everything he has endured, Melusine remains full of trust, joy, and resilience. He is the definition of a survivor — and now all he needs is a loving forever home to give him the happy ending he deserves.<br/><br/>All of our dogs come with a 7-week group Beginner course at Bark n' Roll in North Reading included with adoption.
