Melody is a gentle, tender-hearted girl who finds comfort amongst other dogs. She's a year old and is still growing into herself and would truly blossom in a patient, loving home that can help her build confidence at her own pace. For the last 3 months she has been in a foster home where she has found her footing and has learned how to be a real dog. Other dogs are her safety net and she comes to life with a friend by her side. She has lived in her foster home with another dog, she's house trained, crate trained, loves playdates, enjoys car rides, is figuring out water, and especially loves and adores her lamb chop toy. She's ready to be paired with her forever family. <br/><br/>Melody can be a bit timid at first, but there is a deeply affectionate and sweet soul waiting just beneath the surface. She absolutely lights up around other dogs and clearly finds comfort and reassurance in their presence. Because of this, we strongly recommend a home with another confident, friendly dog or two to help guide her and show her the ropes.<br/><br/>With time, kindness, and gentle socialization, Melody has so much potential to come out of her shell and shine. She is a soft, sensitive pup who will thrive with people who understand that trust takes time and that the reward is a truly special bond. She is currently learning so much in her foster home and has made a ton of progress. <br/><br/>Melody is about 45 pounds and is perfectly medium sized. <br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting Melody please fill out our online application at highsierraanimalrescue.org. Once your application has been reviewed and approved we will work with you to schedule an appointment.<br/>Please no "drop-ins" to view dogs without an appointment.<br/>All High Sierra Animal Rescue dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate shots, micro-chipped, tested for heart worm, given heart worm preventative medication each month, and de-wormed.
