She first came to the shelter in October 2022 after being found alone and hungry, left behind in an empty apartment when her owners moved away. Although a family member briefly reclaimed her, Melia returned to the shelter in June 2023, and after a foster placement, she sadly found herself back again in January 2024 following an incident in the home. Despite this difficult journey, Melia has held onto her gentle nature and continues to show us just how deep her heart runs.
