Mel

Mel is a male collie/hound or lab mix, who was left in an abandoned home with another dog (Candy)- who we assume is related in some way. <br/><br/> Left by their previous owners in a home, without food, water or heat, they were basically left as prisoners, with no means to fend for their own survival. Thankfully a passerby had heard their cries one night and investigated and let the two poor dogs out and called the police. Mel and Candy were taken to a shelter, where Paws Rescue League had found them, and taken them and placed them in a foster home. <br/> Mel has yet to be neutered, but we offer a voucher for his neuter with our partnering vet, so the surgery will not cost his adopter anything additional. <br/><br/>About Mel, he is a sweet boy, who likes to play with other dogs, and kids. He is housebroken, and crate trained. Walks very well on leash, knows some of his basic commands like "Sit" and "Wait/Stay". His foster mom describes him as super sweet, active, friendly and cuddly!
