Second Chance Dog Rescue Mansfield (SCDR)'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters first complete our Interest-in-Adopting form.
If the form is approved, the potential adopters are contacted for a meet and greet. (If the potential adopters have other dogs, the meet and greet will also be done with their current dogs.)
If the meet and greet goes well, a home check is scheduled.
Once the home is approved, the dog is allowed to go home.
At the time of drop off, a final contract of adoption is signed.
Adoption resources, new pup resources, and guidelines are given to the adopters to help them transition with their new rescue pup.
