Meet Meg!<br/><br/>Meg is a 30-pound Husky/Carolina Dog mix born on 1/23/2026. This sweet girl may be a little shy when faced with new things, but every day she becomes more confident, and watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding.<br/><br/>Her foster describes her as affectionate, playful, and lovable. Meg enjoys playing with toys, relaxing on the couch, and being close to her people. While she can be a bit timid at first, she genuinely wants to connect and is happiest when she's spending time with someone she trusts.<br/><br/>Meg has already made tremendous progress in foster care. When she first arrived, she was so unsure of her surroundings that she needed to be carried outside. Now she's confidently walking out on her own, learning routines, and showing everyone just how smart she is. Her foster describes her as eager to please and a quick learner who continues to gain confidence every day.<br/><br/>Meg is doing very well with crate training and settles quietly in her crate without fussing. She is also making great progress with house training and is beginning to recognize her potty routine and communicate when she needs to go outside. Like any young dog, she may still have an occasional accident while learning, but she continues to improve.<br/><br/>She has done well with cats in her foster home and would happily play with them if they were interested. She's also been around children and handled the experience well. With other dogs, Meg is still building confidence. She's more likely to observe than jump right into the action and has shown a thoughtful, gentle approach when encountering other dogs.<br/><br/>Meg enjoys car rides and settles nicely once she's in the vehicle. She's also beginning to gain confidence on leash walks, though she is still learning that the world outside can be a fun place to explore. Her ideal adopter will be patient, encouraging, and willing to continue helping her build confidence through positive experiences and gentle guidance.<br/><br/>Meg doesn't need a perfect homeshe just needs a family willing to give her the time and support she deserves.
