Meet COCOA - fun young sweet petite young girl - only 10 months old's Story
Meet Cocoa đ«đŸ

Cocoa is a 10 month old, 40-pound tan-and-white Staffie mix with a big heart and even bigger energy. Sheâs the kind of dog who wakes up ready to live life fullyâwhether that means chasing a ball, going for a walk, or soaking up attention from her people.

The Good Stuff

Cocoa walks nicely on a leash and absolutely loves to playâespecially fetch (fair warning: she sometimes decides the ball is hers forever⊠weâre working on that đ). Sheâs affectionate, sweet-natured, and clearly eager to bond with her person or family.

A Little Bit of Her Story

When Cocoa first arrived, she had a rash near her hind legs/bum area that suggested she may have been confined in a crate for long periods without proper care. Since coming into the shelter, getting cleaned up, and being given the attention she deserves, her condition has improved dramatically and is now completely healed.

What that tells us is that Cocoa hasnât always had the easiest startâbut sheâs more than ready for a fresh chapter.

What Cocoa Needs

Cocoa will thrive in a home that understands her energy and her need for companionship:

A person or family who is home more often than not
Kids 10 and up (sheâs a bit bouncy when excited)
A fenced-in yard would be a huge plus for burning off that playful energy
Plenty of exercise, structure, and LOVE

She doesnât do well being confined for long stretches, so sheâs really looking for a lifestyle where she can be part of the actionânot left on the sidelines.

Why Cocoa?

Because underneath that playful, energetic exterior is a dog who just wants to be loved, included, and given a fair shot. With the right home, Cocoa is going to be an incredibly fun, loyal companionâthe kind of dog who makes you laugh every single day.

Cocoa is ready to leave her past behind and start fresh.
