Meeka - Resilient Ball Player!

Meeka is a gorgeous petite German Shepherd girl who weighs about 53lbs.<br/>She has incredible soft fur to the touch and is a beautiful brown eyed girl. She is 5-6 years old and has lots of companionship still to give.<br/><br/>Meeka is an owner surrender from a family who had no time for her. <br/>If you know anything about anxiety, you will understand Meeka. She has been through quite a few changes in her life and when anxious she turns in circles and barks. This is easily and quickly stopped by throwing a ball for her or giving her a stuffed animal. Most of the time, she is an exceptionally calm dog with low to medium energy except when playing FETCH...her very favorite thing to do. <br/><br/>Recently, a group of local high school aged volunteers were at the Rescue Ranch , and had a terrific visit playing soccer with her. Meeka LOVED it!<br/> <br/>She is sweet and friendly with everyone. She is extremely loyal and comforting and likes to stay close and loves to cuddle on the couch. She is EXTREMELY gentle! She even takes her food from her bowl or treats from your fingers so softly and gently. Meeka is wonderful and non-reactive with all other dogs - nobody fazes her! <br/><br/>She walks well on the leash and does great on car rides. We have not cat tested her but she doesn't seem to have prey drive so she may do fine with them with a bit of coaching.<br/><br/>She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. <br/><br/>She is house trained and does not need a crate. She likes to be pampered and groomed.<br/><br/>Meeka is being fostered in TX . Her adoption fee is $300.<br/><br/>NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location, but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.<br/><br/>Although currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX, he can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.<br/><br/>We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!This dog is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX.
