Meatloaf's Story

Meatloaf's Story
We received several calls about a dog wandering around, and that dog was Meatloaf. When we first saw him, he was happily walked up to a mother and her child, hoping for a little love and attention. His tail wagged happily as if he was asking, "Will you be my friend?" But the child was scared, and Meatloaf simply stood there, not understanding why.
When we pulled up, we saw this big, goofy boy trotting toward our truck with hopeful eyes. Even though he had no one and nowhere to go, he still greeted us with kindness and trust.
Later, we had to go back and pick him up because he ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and got caught in a messy situation. Through it all, Meatloaf never showed fear or anger-only his sweet, gentle heart.
Since being in our care, Meatloaf has shown everyone the kind of dog he truly is. He's a big goofball who just wants love, belly rubs, and someone to call his own. Even after everything he's been through, his tail still wags with hope that one day someone will choose him and give him the forever home he's been waiting for.
He loves to play ball, has lots of energy, but calms down quickly. Walks great on leash but is super strong. During an adoption trial they reported that he was gentle with their young child, was great inside the home, but doesn't like small farm animals. He is also dog selective.
