Meatball's Story

Some of us thrive on chaos, while some of us... do not. My name is Meatball (I know it's a gender-ambiguous name. I'm a Miss Meatball, in case you were wondering) and I'm the sort who prefers minimal chaos, thanks very much.
Now, don't get me wrong- It's not that I'm a lazy dog! I'm only a year old and I'm plenty lively. Think of me more like a woodland creature: when it's all birdsong and meadows, you'll find me frolicking joyfully through the wildflowers. But if you were to drop me in the middle of Times Square, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
I grew up around a bunch of other animals- dogs, cats, school-age kids- and did well with them. Then, I came to the shelter, where I am, once again, around a whole bunch of dogs and noise and people. It's a lot to deal with and I'm doing my best! I'm a really sweet, happy girl with a big heart. I love cuddles and kisses and being close to people. I love going for walks, playing with toys, and giving kisses!
I know how to stay in a crate when nobody is home, I know how to sit for a treat, and I'm overall a very good girl.
I'd be fine with having dog or cat siblings, but I do think I'd thrive in a steady, not-too-chaotic home. I need and deserve at least a little one-on-one attention! I'm such a sweet girl that I think you'd enjoy that time as much as I would.
So come and check me out. Let's be flower fairies together.

If interested please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
