McIntyre's Story
Neutered Male
1.5 Years Old
$200

MacIntyre is a stunning 1.5-year-old red Doberman with a gentle heart and a curious mind. This young guy came to us as a stray, so his past is a mystery—but it’s clear he’s a very friendly, affectionate dog who forms strong bonds once he feels comfortable. He can be a bit nervous at first and prefers to approach new people on his own terms, but give him a moment and you’ll quickly earn his trust.

Once MacIntyre feels safe, he truly shines. He loves being close to his people, happily following you around to see what you’re up to, and is a big fan of ear scratches and lap time—he’ll gladly rest his head on you for pets. He’s a curious boy who likes to stay in the loop and know what’s happening around him. While he enjoys lounging and relaxing, when playtime or adventure starts, he can be very active and excitable.

MacIntyre hasn’t been very vocal in our care and is generally a quiet companion. He can be a bit picky with food (his tastes change!), and he’s shown a strong interest in cats, so he may do best in a home without them. With patience, consistency, and love, MacIntyre will make a loyal, affectionate companion for someone looking for a devoted dog who loves to be near the people he trusts.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at no additional cost.

No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

Want to Know if I’m Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability. If you’d like to show you’re thinking about adopting, please fill out an application on our website under "Adopt" at www.hsomc.org.

Open Adoption Hours:

Tuesday & Wednesday: Noon – 6 pm

Thursday & Friday: Noon – 7 pm

Saturday: Noon – 4 pm

I’m located at the Humane Society of Midland County, 4371 E Ashman St, Midland, MI 48642.

We can’t wait to meet you and help you find your new best friend!
