Meet Mayze in CT - Silly and Sweet!

Mayze is hoping to get a head start to the new year with a family of her own that she can love and cuddle with. This little girl was found as a stray, and is as sweet as can be! Since coming into rescue, she has thoroughly enjoyed the company of her foster siblings...in fact, she would not let any of them out of her sight :) Not only does Mayze love playing with her foster siblings, she is also quick to catch on to the basic cues that they have already mastered, and we think she may out-perform them in no time! Mayze adores toys of all varieties. If there is a stray toy somewhere, Mayze will be sure to "rescue" it and add to her ever-growing collection of toys. This funny girl seems to particularly like soft towels or blankets - if there is one left on the floor unattended, she will most likely relocate it somewhere to nest on. Mayze is a lovely girl who will thrive in a loving family who will help her boost her confidence in navigating this busy world full of people. With a little patience and consistent training, we have no doubt that this girl will mature into a loving, loyal companion!

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
