Maynard Pit Bull Terrier Mix Oakland, CA

Maynard is a very sweet, loving boy who enjoys all people and dogs he meets. He is great with kids - playful but gentle and enjoys following them around the house. He does great in the crate overnight and has quickly figured out house training. He’s beginning to master some simple commands like sit, down, and wait. (The latter is challenging for him!)

He enjoys time outside, but he’s still learning how to walk on a leash. He requires some patience on his walk as he explores the sights and smells and will refuse to move if you push him too quickly. Each day, he’s willing to walk a bit farther and faster with more confidence so this may resolve with regular walks, consistency, and comfort.

He enjoys chewing so giving him ample things to chew would be advised. He’s a medium energy dog - he can be playful but mellows out fairly quickly for a dog his age. He doesn't bother our chickens which may bode well for any feline families!
