Meet Maya
Sweet darling Maya. What an exceptional dog.
She's only 1 year old and weighs in at about 37 pounds. She is underweight, and we're working on getting up to 10 more pounds on her, which should be her full adult weight.
She's a street dog, with street dogs smarts, but she's so grateful that she was rescued from life on the street and thanks humans every day by offering them so much love, cuddles and snuggles.
She is independent, clever, and respectful to strangers and other dogs she meets.
She has lived with cats and kids and does fine (proper introductions always needed)
She knows how to find a sunbeam better than anyone, and you'll find her soaking up the sun and loving every second of it.
She is crate trained.
From her foster:
She’s definitely got some hound in her. Her nose is amazing. She is not super interested in meeting people or other dogs and is really laid back.
She won’t get on the furniture and if I bring her up, she jumps off.
She has zero food aggression. Zero issues with cats.
She would do great to have another dog to chum with.
She’s the easiest going dog. No demands. Happy to follow your lead.
She does love pets and will nudge your hand gently for them when she feels she needs some extra love.
