Maya's Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Maya is a beautiful lady who is dreaming of being a cherished family member. She would love an active family that will include them in their adventures. Maya would be a great running, walking or hiking buddy. She is ready to go when you are. Maya will need a securely fenced backyard to avoid the temptation of going on walkabouts through the neighborhood to meet new people.

Maya has lived with other dogs and would be fine in a home with a canine companion that possesses the same gentle demeanor that she possesses. We don't know Maya's history with cats, therefore, we would like to see her go to a home without cats. Maya has a very loving nature and would be fine with children who possess an understanding of respectful and gentle behavior towards animals. Maya is housebroken and shouldn't be crated. We believe that she might have been crated for long periods of time at some point in her life and it wasn't enjoyable for her.

Maya recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She recently had puppies and was spayed after she arrived to rescue. Maya also received a dental with extractions. May is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is 9 years old and weighs 38 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We dont adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We dont ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
