May's Story

FOSTER TO ADOPT

MEET MAY

She is 9 Years Young, 7 Pounds, and Full of Spunk!

Don’t let her tiny size or her age fool you! May is a 9-year-old, 7-pound Imperial Shih Tzu with a BIG personality, a little sass, and enough sweetness to melt your heart!

May came to Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue after being found as a stray, and this little lady had clearly been through a lot. She arrived in pretty rough shape, suffering from an extremely large bladder stone and a mouth full of painful, decayed teeth.

Since joining us, May has undergone surgery to remove the bladder stone, been spayed, and unfortunately, had to have all of her teeth removed. But here’s the amazing thing about May — she hasn’t let any of it steal her joy!

This resilient little girl has bounced back beautifully and is absolutely loving life! She’s playful, spunky, affectionate, and has the most adorable personality. She enjoys romping around with other dogs her size, but she’s just as happy spending time with her favorite humans. May has so much love to give and isn’t shy about showing it!

May is available for FOSTER-TO-ADOPT!

May is doing wonderfully, but we’d love to see her put on just a little more weight before officially graduating from our care. Her future family would foster her for a short period while we continue to monitor her progress, with the intention of finalizing her adoption once she’s ready.

We think May has already been through enough in her nine years. Now it’s time for soft beds, belly rubs, playtime, and a family who will spoil her rotten!
