Max's Story
Max has important puppy business to attend to: following you from room to room, investigating whatever you’re doing, and relocating every available toy into his crate. Once his collection is complete, this playful little shadow is perfectly happy to curl up in your lap for a nap — preferably after a good tummy rub.

At just 2 months old and about 8 pounds, Max is a Terrier mix for adoption who is curious, affectionate, and still learning about his world. He gets wonderfully excited to see his foster in the morning and happily seeks out attention, though quick approaches can still make him unsure. A little patience lets him come forward at his own pace.

Max currently shares his home with a Great Dane and a cat, and apparently nobody has explained the size difference — he happily tries to engage the big dog in play. He could enjoy a canine housemate or be equally content soaking up the attention himself.

Because Max is such a young rescue dog for adoption, he’s still learning potty training and how to be comfortable alone. He needs an adopter who is home during the day and ready to build those skills gradually. The good news? He already loves his crate and sleeps nearly through the night. If you’re ready to adopt a rescue dog and raise a funny, curious little sidekick, Max is ready to get started.

Max is available for transport to the Vernon, CT area, serving adopters throughout Connecticut and nearby areas. Pickup logistics are arranged at adoption.

Ready to adopt Max? The fastest way is to apply directly at shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ALDR/Dog. Clicking "Start Your Inquiry" sends us an email; we'll reply with the application link, but it doesn't place Max on hold.

Browse more available dogs in Connecticut at addicuslegacy.org/location/connecticut/.
