⚠️ EXPERIENCED ADOPTER NEEDED ⚠️<br/>💔 Meet Max — 12 Years Old, Deserves a Second Chance<br/><br/>📅 August 21, 2024 — Max was surrendered to us after a life with little to no socialization.<br/><br/>His owner moved to the East Coast… and never came back for him.<br/><br/>Max came in with a lot of confusion and fear, along with trigger-based behaviors and reactivity in certain situations — especially around new people and other dogs inside the home.<br/><br/>For safety, we had to move him to an outdoor kennel setup.<br/><br/>💔 But that is not the life he deserves.<br/><br/>🐾 Who Max Is<br/>Max is a 12-year-old boy who has had to learn everything later in life.<br/><br/>Despite his past, he has made progress.<br/><br/>✔️ Bonds deeply once he trusts<br/>✔️ Loved “his boy”<br/>✔️ Initially struggled with men — but learned to trust and love my husband<br/>✔️ With structure and training, he shows he can be a good dog<br/><br/>He is not beyond help — he just needed someone to teach him.<br/><br/>🏡 What Max Needs<br/>Max will need an experienced adopter only — someone who understands behavior, boundaries, and how to safely continue building his trust.<br/><br/>✔️ Calm, structured environment<br/>✔️ Slow introductions<br/>✔️ No chaos or inexperienced handling<br/>✔️ Someone willing to give him time, not give up on him<br/><br/>💔 Why He’s Still Here<br/>Max didn’t get the guidance he needed when he was younger… and now he’s paying the price for it.<br/><br/>He’s a senior.<br/>He shouldn’t be spending the rest of his life in a kennel.<br/><br/>🩷 We are hoping for a foster or forever home that will give Max the chance he never had.<br/><br/>📩 Message us if you have experience and are willing to help change Max’s life.
