Max (Aussie)'s Story

Max, 4 1/2 years old, Australian Shepherd. About 50 pounds.
Max needs a home that is experienced with the quirky personalities of this breed.
Max is a playful, loyal boy that loves his person. He has good recall. He is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He is leery of strangers, will nip children, will chase a cat, rabbit, Squirrel. He loves going for walks and hikes. When he is introduced to strangers, everything will go smoothly as long as they do not address him. They should ignore him until he comes to them to be petted. It usually happens pretty quickly. He just needs a minute to be sure that they are not a threat.

No children under 12.
No cats, rabbits or any small animal that is not a dog.

Roscoe, male, 2 years old, flat coated collie/ Australian shepherd. He is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Great with dogs, unsure of cats, will nip at children.

He is shy with strangers and can be shy around raised voices. He is confident, happy and playful as long as he feels safe. Loud noises may startle him, but speaking calmly helps him stay calm. He enjoys being loved on.
