Max & Abby, Bonded Pair's Story

Max & Abby a bonded pair

Max and Abby were abandoned in Tate County in 2018. They are a bonded pair. Max loves other dogs and Abby can too, however she is very shy and needs a gentle & patient playmate.

I remember the day back in 2019 that I saw Abby and Max, hiding in the woods behind their trailer with 2 other dogs. They were so sad. Their family had packed up and moved away, leaving them behind to fend for themselves. They didn't come toward me. They didn't move. They didn't even bark. Clearly, their hearts were broken.

The difference in dogs and man, dogs have the huge capacity to forgive and forget. They are loving creatures by nature. All they want in the world is for someone to love them, and once with us, that is all they’ve known.

Both Max and Abby were young dogs with a full life ahead of them, learning to trust the first humans who showed them love and kindness.
They were bonded ar the heart. Max followed Abby around like a puppy. He’s always enjoyed playing with other dogs. Abby will join in but her favorite friend has always been Max.

Now with a frosty face, Abby and Max still wait for a family of their own. A patient family who will take them as they are - together - and sometimes just at an arms length away.

Max and Abby are around 8 years old now.
