Meet Rooster <br/><br/>Rooster is a handsome 5-year-old boy looking for a new beginning. He’s friendly, enjoys being around people, and loves getting out for walks. He walks well overall, but he is a strong dog and can get excited at times, so he’ll do best with someone comfortable handling a larger, energetic pup.<br/><br/>Sadly, we don’t know much about Rooster’s past. What we did discover is that the person who brought him in claiming he was a "stray" was actually his owner. Because of that sudden change, Rooster is understandably confused and still adjusting to shelter life. Even with everything he’s been through, he continues to greet staff with a wagging tail and a sweet personality. <br/><br/>Because of his size and energy level, we are recommending a home with teens and up.<br/><br/> Adoption Requirements:<br/>· Meet & greet required for any dogs currently in the home<br/>· Current rabies vaccine records required for resident dogs<br/>· All household members must meet Rooster<br/>· Proof of homeownership or lease allowing dogs required<br/><br/> We are open 7 days a week from 12 PM–3:30PM<br/>No appointment needed — come meet Rooster at Somerset Regional Animal Shelter today!
