Max — 8 years old 75 lbs Male<br/><br/> Meet Max!<br/><br/>Max is an 8-year-old, 75 lb boy with a gentle and sensitive soul. He’s a quiet, mellow guy who tends to keep mostly to himself, but once he feels comfortable, he’ll come over to you for affection and happily enjoy some cuddles and pets. He’s independent and likes having the choice to come to you when he’s ready, but underneath his calm exterior is a very sweet and cuddly dog.<br/><br/>Max can be a little unsure when someone first arrives and may bark, but he warms up fairly quickly — and a few treats can definitely help win him over! He loves people and has no issues being touched. He also has some adorable quirks, like chasing his tail and barking at squirrels, people walking by, or visitors arriving at the house.<br/><br/>Max is a more mellow dog compared to Levi. He can be reserved around other dogs and would benefit from a calm environment where he can relax and feel secure. He has never been around cats, so his compatibility with cats is unknown. He has also never been around children, so we are looking for a family who understands that this is new territory for him.<br/><br/>Max is used to having a fenced yard. He isn't the best on leash right now, so his new family will need to be patient and help him build his confidence and leash skills.<br/><br/>One of the biggest things Max's family will need to help him with is his weight. At 75 lbs, he is currently overweight, and we'd love to see him begin a healthy weight-loss journey. A proper diet combined with several short, gentle walks throughout the day would be ideal for helping him safely lose weight, strengthen his muscles, and improve his overall health. Our goal is to help Max live the longest, healthiest and happiest life possible. <br/><br/>Max has no known medical issues or sensitivities. He's also not picky with treats or food!<br/><br/> Max's ideal home<br/><br/>Max would love a patient, loving family who will respect his independent personality while giving him plenty of affection when he asks for it. A fenced yard would be a huge plus, and his family should be committed to helping him safely get healthier and stronger.<br/><br/>Max and Levi get along well, although Levi's higher energy can sometimes be a little much for mellow Max. Our preference would be for the boys to stay together if possible, as they know each other and have a relationship, but we completely understand that finding a home for two large dogs can be challenging. C’est un toutou tranquille et calme qui aime généralement rester dans son petit coin. Mais une fois qu’il se sent à l’aise, il viendra vers vous pour chercher de l’affection et profitera avec bonheur de quelques câlins et flatteries. Il est indépendant et aime pouvoir choisir lui-même quand il est prêt à venir vers vous, mais derrière son tempérament calme se cache un chien très doux et affectueux.<br/><br/>Max peut être un peu incertain lorsqu’une nouvelle personne arrive et peut japper, mais il s’adapte assez rapidement — et quelques petites gâteries peuvent certainement l’aider à gagner confiance! Il adore les humains et n’a aucun problème à se faire toucher. Il a aussi quelques petites habitudes adorables, comme courir après sa queue et japper après les écureuils, les gens qui passent devant la maison ou les visiteurs qui arrivent. <br/><br/>Max est beaucoup plus calme que Levi. Il peut être réservé avec les autres chiens et bénéficierait d’un environnement tranquille où il pourra relaxer et se sentir en sécurité. Il n’a jamais été en contact avec des chats, donc sa compatibilité avec ceux-ci est inconnue. Il n’a également jamais vécu avec des enfants, alors nous recherchons une famille qui comprend que ce sera une toute nouvelle expérience pour lui.<br/><br/>Max est habitué d’avoir une cour clôturée. Pour le moment, il n’est pas très à l’aise en laisse. Sa nouvelle famille devra donc faire preuve de patience et l’aider à développer tranquillement sa confiance ainsi que ses aptitudes à marcher en laisse.<br/><br/>L’un des éléments les plus importants avec lesquels sa nouvelle famille devra l’aider est son poids. À 75 lb, Max est actuellement en surpoids et nous aimerions beaucoup l’accompagner dans une démarche de perte de poids saine. Une alimentation adaptée, combinée à plusieurs petites promenades douces au cours de la journée, serait idéale pour l’aider à perdre du poids de façon sécuritaire, renforcer ses muscles et améliorer sa santé générale. Notre objectif est de lui permettre de vivre la vie la plus longue, saine et heureuse possible. <br/>Max n’a aucun problème de santé ou aucune sensibilité connue. Il n’est pas difficile non plus côté nourriture ou gâteries! <br/><br/> La famille idéale pour Max<br/><br/>Max aimerait beaucoup une famille patiente et aimante qui respectera son côté indépendant tout en lui donnant beaucoup d’affection lorsqu’il la demande. Une cour clôturée serait un énorme avantage, et sa famille devra être prête à l’aider à retrouver tranquillement une meilleure forme physique et à devenir plus fort.<br/><br/>Max et Levi s’entendent bien, même si l’énergie plus élevée de Levi peut parfois être un peu intense pour notre Max plus tranquille. Notre préférence serait que les garçons puissent rester ensemble si possible, puisqu’ils se connaissent et ont déjà développé une belle relation. Nous comprenons toutefois qu’il peut être difficile de trouver une famille pour deux gros chiens. Nous considérerons donc une famille pour Max seulement si la bonne occasion se présente.<br/><br/>Si vous recherchez un garçon doux, tranquille et incroyablement attachant, qui prendra tranquillement une place dans votre cœur (et éventuellement sur votre divan ), Max pourrait bien être votre parfait compagnon.
