Max 's Story

Meet Max. The big XL bully with an even bigger heart. Max was surrendered with a small dog and left in an high killer shelter. His new foster mother said he’s great with all the larger dogs in the house and loves to lay around being a couch potato with you. Max enjoys a nice walk, but he’s working on his leash manners as squirrels and rabbits leave him wanting to chase and play. Max could live in an apartment or an home with a yard, as he is pretty low energy, but would of course need walks to keep him happy and well taken care of.
Although Max has yet to be introduced to children, he loves all humans and his foster Mom said he’d be a wonderful family dog. Max would need to be in a home with slightly larger children around teenage years, as he easily knocks things over as he’s slightly on the clumsy side with a very large head. Max would also do best with a family that understands he has slight separation anxiety, due to his past, and they would need to give him the structure he deserves. A quiet home would also be wonderful for Max, as some loud/sudden noises can startle him.
If you are interested in making this special boy apart of your family, please fill out an application below and a member of our team will reach out to plan a meet & greet -

https://www.underdogheroes.org/applytoadopt
