Max's Story

Meet Max, our 99-pound gentle giant who's convinced the world is his to explore- and honestly, he's not wrong. At around 7 years old, Max is completely blind, though he seems to catch shadows and light. That doesn't slow him down one bit!

He tackles life with the confidence of a dog who has absolutely never doubted himself. If there's a wall in front of him? Well... sometimes that's just tomorrow's problem.

It didn't take long this guys' sweet, trusting personality to shine through- and now, the sound of someone talking to him is enough to make him tilt his head, wag his tail, and lean in for his favorite thing in the world: head scratches!! Once you've earned his trust, you're officially part of Team Max!

Max isn't looking for someone to feel sorry for him. He's looking for someone to laugh with him, scratch his head, cheer him on, and love him exactly as he is. In return, he'll give you unwavering trust, endless affection, and a daily reminder that courage sometimes comes with four paws and a wagging tail. There's nothing this big boy can't do!
