Most dogs in the shelter cannot keep stuffies in their kennels 24/7 because we cannot monitor them around the clock and the risk swallowing pieces is very real. But Mavis gets to keep hers, because they bring her so much comfort and she takes very good care of them. The second you hand her a toy, that serious face disappears completely and she is pure joy.<br/><br/>Our groomer said it best: she thought Mavis might be a handful in the bath, and then Mavis showed up, brought her fish toy with her for moral support, and proceeded to let someone blow dry her like an absolute queen. <br/><br/>Mavis needs a family who is ready to be her whole world, because she will absolutely be theirs.
