Mavis is a stunning 1-year-old, 50 lb Shepherd/Husky blend with gorgeous golden eyes, big upright ears, and an equally beautiful personality. She is an incredibly sweet, easygoing girl who loves everyone she meets and has quickly proven what a wonderful companion she is.<br/><br/>Mavis has been a superstar in her foster home. She has not had a single potty accident and is great about holding it until she goes out for a walk. She walks beautifully on leash without pulling and is a great listener, too. If she gets curious and picks something up along the way, a simple “no” is usually all it takes for her to drop it and move on.<br/><br/>She has a nice moderate energy level and an easy off-switch. Mavis is perfectly content lounging on the patio or relaxing inside while her foster is working. She enjoys being close to her people and soaking up affection, but she’s also confident and independent enough to relax by herself—even when her people are out of sight.<br/><br/>Mavis is well mannered around the house and hasn't shown any interest in getting into things she shouldn't. She’s also a confident girl who isn’t bothered by everyday noises like the vacuum or motorcycles passing by. Her foster has yet to hear her bark! She initially whined a little when crated at night, so they are continuing to work on positive crate desensitization.<br/>Best of all, Mavis is simply so sweet. She loves people, loves affection, and has such an adaptable, uncomplicated nature.
