Meet Maverick,<br/>Maverick is a very good boy and seems to like anyone and everyone! He has however much energy you need him to have! If you aren't too active, you will have him as your foot warmer. If in bed, he will be lying up against you the whole time! Of course all dogs need exercise, but Maverick does not need a ton just because he's an Aussie/Mini Aussie!<br/> Maverick wants to be with his people constantly and will walk right with them, as he is a true velcro dog! If you get up during the night, he's going to get up during the night every time that you do! He is quiet, potty trained, and perfect with other dogs! He is a wonderful friend to other dogs actually, and can even have a great time with the smallest of dogs! And, he could play with them all day long as well! Maverick, from what we have seen, is great off leash as well! He is fine in the car and could probably be taken out and about to any dog friendly place!<br/>In order to adopt Maverick, you must be okay with letting him sleep in your bed, and be specifically looking for a velcro dog! This is who and what Maverick is and it is imperative that he goes to home that will appreciate and thrive having a dog like him around!<br/>Maverick is a local CT dog that did have a home. Sadly, through a divorce he is now in need a new home and family. *Seems okay with cats!<br/>He is around 4 years old and around 40 lbs.<br/><br/><br/>*The adoption fee is $500.00 and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, leash and collar.<br/><br/>BREED IDENTIFICATION:<br/>Please understand that many rescue dogs are mixes of multiple breeds. Petfinder allows us to choose up to two breeds per dog. While the shelters and our rescue do our best in accurately identifying breeds, breed identification is not guaranteed. If there is a certain breed that you do not want, it is very important that you share this with our rescue when applying. When adopting a puppy, breed uncertainty plays a big part in the size/look of the dog as an adult. Please know that any puppy can be a wonderful dog, regardless of preconceived notions of certain breeds, but it is very important that the adopter has the dedication and patience to raise the puppy with boundaries, consistency, structure, & love. The more effort you give towards training & time you allow for exercise, your puppy will grow to be a HUGE source of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, TOTAL LOYALTY, HAPPINESS, COMFORT & COMPANIONSHIP!<br/><br/>ABOUT OUR RESCUE:<br/>We are a small rescue run by volunteers & focused on finding the right match for both our dogs & for you. If you are interested in adopting through our rescue, you first will need to complete an adoption application & be approved as a potential adopter before meeting any of our pups. No need to be intimidated by our application as it allows us to get to know you & your lifestyle. Of course, the more you can share the better! Please also note, while a fenced yard is fantastic, it is not required by our rescue, however, it may be required for a certain dog occasionally. Once adoption applicants are approved to become potential adopters, we offer private appointments where you can meet one or several dogs at the discretion of the rescue. We offer a unique & pleasant experience focused on finding the perfect match. It is extremely important to us that everyone is treated with respect & that NO ONE IS LEFT HANGING. WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU WITHIN 2 TO 3 DAYS of application submission. STATE FARM WAS SUGGESTED TO US AS THEY DO NOT PUNISH, DROP, NOR REFUSE YOU DUE TO DOG BREED SHOULD YOU RUN INTO ISSUES WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER.
