He would do best without young children—fast movements make him anxious—but a home with teenagers would be just fine.<br/><br/>He truly blossoms with the right canine companion. Maverick needs another playful, non dominant dog—a best friend type- who just wants to play, play, play and help build his confidence.<br/><br/>✅ Great with cats – respectful, calm, and friendly<br/>✅ Gentle and affectionate once comfortable<br/>✅ Goofy and fun when he comes out of his shell<br/><br/>Because he’s still a puppy, Maverick needs to be kenneled when unsupervised—he has a fondness for socks and harmless mischief.<br/><br/>As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We would like this dog to be adopted into a secure 5'-6' fenced yard.<br/><br/>We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
