Maui arrived in rescue after his previous family could no longer care for him. Maui arrived to us with a bad case of demodex (non-contagious and fully treatable) and irritated skin as a result of being so itchy. He has begun treatment and will just need to stay on Bravecto every 3 months. His skin is already showing improvement and he is now such a happy boy! His foster mom says: Maui is a happy one year old Boston Terrier with a rare TAIL, which he's actually injured due to wagging too much! He has two speeds- 100 MPH and FULL STOP/CUDDLE! This guy is VERY boisterous. He's still a puppy, and needs a good bit of stimulation but, he's also just very needy and wants to be next to his human at ALL TIMES! He hasn't shown much interest in toys, and hasn't exhibited much chewing- but, I've also made sure to crate him when unsupervised, due to his energy- and he is fine with that. Maui is initially shy, and will take a few minutes to warm up, but after that, he will be your shadow and follow you EVERYWHERE! <br/>His perfect owner will take him on hikes, long walks, or just bring him along for any adventure to help release his energy. And then, the cuddles are ON! He will press himself next to you and have his head on your lap for HOURS, while you watch your favorite TV show- and then, join you in the big bed, cuddling as close to you as possible! He is doing great learning potty habits but will need further consistent training; thus far- he's very good if taken outside often. But will also use a pee pad. He gets along very well with other animals, but he has no self-awareness with regard to his exuberance- so NO dogs under 10 pounds, only dog savvy cats- and no children under the age of 5. Children over that age, though, who would spend time playing with him would be wonderful!!! The more attention he gets, the better. He is a very loving, sweet dog who just needs an outlet to expel some energy, and then a big cuddle session. <br/><br/>Maui is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.<br/><br/>Maui is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $400.
