Maudie's Story
Maudie is the sister of Marcie. They are both, from what we can tell, likely some kind of Dachshund mix. They are both very high strung dogs, very active, very alert and very reactive. They are scared and skittish of all new people. They do allow the shelter staff to pet and love on them, but it took a long time of trust building. They came in from a shelter that failed. We don't know anything about their background other than that. Neither of them should be around children as they are just too nervous and high strung for that. These girls need a quiet home with loving and patient pet parents to help them along to becoming good pets.

They do want to be loved. They do want to feel that their home is solid and lasting. I don't think they have ever had that in their life. This shelter is probably the most stable home they have ever had.

They are both up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Not housebroken. But they are crate trained.
