**Maude's adoption fee is SPONSORED for an approved application!<br/><br/>Maude was recently returned after a year in her home because her owner's health wouldn't allow her to take care of Maude anymore. Maude misses her, and we told her we would try to find her a new family soon. Maude has put on quite a bit of weight since she was adopted. She is housebroken and lets people know she needs out when they ask her if she needs to go outside, and she gets excited. Please understand an accident or two may occur as any new dog gets used to new surroundings. We don't yet know how she is with dogs, cats, or kids. Maude is a sweet girl who loves to be petted and get attention. She also loves walks. If you would like to meet this beautiful girl, please email the shelter at cchs04@sbcglobal.net and request an application!

The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
