Applaud Maude<br/>The mean streets of Chicago was where I roamed.<br/>Hungry and scared, so lonely, no Home.<br/>Freedom to run was fun for a while,<br/>but regular meals are more my style.<br/>Chased down and snared I was terrified!<br/>I wanted no human touch, it was all denied.<br/>My Rescuer saved a guinea pig and two hens that day,<br/>Out to the boonies we all drove away.<br/>She didn’t know about me being grouchy.<br/>When she touched my neck I gave her an ouchie.<br/>Said she, “I’m not giving up, there’s something in your eyes,”<br/>Because in Rescue, HOPE seldom dies.<br/>Slowly, with patience, I learned social ways;<br/>learning to trust is how we spent our weeks and days.<br/>I taught her that I am like no other pooch<br/>and she taught me to accept a smooch.<br/>I’m still in training and will surely need more.<br/>“I’ll find you the perfect home.” To me she swore.<br/>So here we are searching for my perfect match!<br/>Do you need a couch potato who loves a big belly scratch?<br/><br/>WHERE MY TRUCKERS AT??? I would be a PERFECT traveling companion.<br/><br/>Maude is a young Olde English Bulldogge. Her adopters MUST have Bulldogge experience. They must be willing to put in the time and have the patience to let her be the Maude she is. No heavy-hands will be permitted.<br/>She is a burlap bag full of bowling balls stomping around most of the time, but just lately has had spontaneous Zoomies! Her love is hard won, but will fill hearts!
