MATILDA's Story

04/29/26 13:33 From the foster home: Matilda is a happy, loving pup who gets along well with her four foster siblings. She has the cutest habit of herding me by nudging the back of my legs when I first get home and take the dogs out to pee. She’s been 100% on using the pee pads and we’re working on getting her comfortable using the dog door to go outside. She sleeps through the night in her dog bed next to my bed. I think she would happily sleep in my bed if it wasn’t full of the other pups. She doesn’t bark much. Just a few excited yaps when I first get home and maybe one or two when I start making dinner for myself. I think this is just to remind me that she would like to have a taste. She doesn’t beg once I start eating. She walks very calmly on the leash and doesn’t mind having her ears cleaned or nails trimmed. She doesn’t have any pain from her wonky leg. Female chihuahua with dental disease and large mammary mass. Needs rescue. 02/04/26 12:26 Senior chihuahua still in need of rescue, bloodwork and thoracic radiographs unremarkable. Stiff PL gait, suspect OA Spay, mammary mass removal and dental with extractions performed 2/4. 03/12/26 19:16 Meet Matilda ??? Matilda is a small Chihuahua with white fluffy fur and the most adorable ginger freckles on her ears that make her extra special. Petting Matilda’s super soft fur is like therapy. She’s calm, gentle, and loves affection. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she melts right into cuddles and happily soaks up all the love. She’s pee pad trained/housebroken and enjoys short sniffy walks, but doesn’t need a ton of exercise. At night, her favorite routine is being tucked into her cozy bed, where she settles in like the little princess she is. ??? Matilda coexists nicely with the other dogs in her foster home. Being a small pup, she would do best in a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and adored. If you’re looking for a sweet little companion with a soft soul, adorable freckles, and a very cute underbite, Matilda might be your perfect match. ????
