Matilda's Story
Name: MATILDA
-Sex: female
-Current Weight: 62#
-Age/Birthday: 6-25-2017
-Breed(s): Siberian Husky type
-Spay/Neuter: Spayed 2024
-Vaccines: Up to date
-Preventions: Up to date
-Health: Mostly blind, sees peripherally.
-Backstory: Found as a stray in Itasca, Texas & spent 5 months in the city shelter
-Kennel & House trained
-Travels well in the car

Likes: Sun bathing, snacks and hanging with her person/people.

Matilda is a beautiful girl looking for a loving home. She is very gentle, and affectionate. Every once in a while she play bows and gets a little excited. Most of the time she is happy to be laying at your feet or chewing a bone on her bed. She never lets her vision impairment affect her happy go-lucky personality. Tilda is the most quiet and laid back husky any of us have met. Tilda gets around her surroundings very well. Once she gets the lay of the yard & home, she freely roams without issue. She had a tougher life prior to rescue & her appreciation of the good life is very clear. Soft beds, cool floors, yummy treats & tender pets are her future.

She does not mind other dogs and has a little dog friend in foster care. She mostly ignores other dogs and prefers the company of her people.

Her interest in cats is a bit too intense, and we think a home without free roaming cats would be best. Other small animals that are housed/caged would be ok. She is currently fostered with a cat and kept separated by a gate.
