Matilda's Story

When we rescued Matilda from a municipal shelter, she came with a warning: she was very frightened and didn't want to be handled. Within moments of being given a safe space with a volunteer, she was loosening up and wagging her tail.<br/><br/>Tilly is around 3 years old and had her life turned upside down. It is no wonder she is wary of the unknown. Give her time and space to get to know you and you will have a snugglebug friend for life.<br/><br/>Tilly gets along with other dogs in her foster home. She is crate and leash trained and has shown excellent house manners.<br/><br/>Age: 3 years<br/>Weight: 13 lbs<br/>Dogs: Friendly<br/>Cats: unknown<br/>Children: Not recommended <br/><br/>Matilda has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and tested heartworm negative. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN PRIVATE HOMES so there is no facility at which to meet the dogs prior to application approval. Approved adopters only will be invited to meet the dogs. Their adoption includes six months' heartworm preventive medication, free microchip registration, and a safety harness. If you have other questions for WSRH, please keep in mind that we are an all-volunteer organization and dedicate all available resources to the care of our dogs.
