Mateo's Story

FOSTER NEEDED BEFORE MARCH 17!

Mateo's story is heartbreaking... but his spirit is nothing short of incredible.

Mateo was left to die on the side of the road in Mexico after being struck by a vehicle. Sadly, the amputation performed there was botched so
once Mateo made it to the U.S., he had to endure two more surgeries to properly amputate his leg and repair the damage leaving him mostly immobile and incontinent.

On a positive note Mateo has discovered the joy of his doggie wheelchair - and he absolutely LOVES it! Once he's in his chair, he zooms around, plays, and enjoys life just like any other dog.
