Mateo's Story
FOSTER NEEDED BEFORE MARCH 17!

Mateo's story is heartbreaking... but his spirit is nothing short of incredible.

Mateo was left to die on the side of the road in Mexico after being struck by a vehicle. He lay there in the dirt under the scorching sun until someone finally got him to a vet. Sadly, the amputation performed there was botched so
once Mateo made it to the U.S., he had to endure two more surgeries to properly amputate his leg and repair the damage leaving him mostly immobile and incontinent.

On a positive note Mateo has discovered the joy of his doggie wheelchair - and he absolutely LOVES it! Once he's in his chair, he zooms around, plays, and enjoys life just like any other dog. After everything he's been through, his joy and resilience are truly inspiring.

Mateo is available for adoption, but we also have an urgent need for a temporary foster home by March 17.

We know he may require some extra care, so we're looking for a very special person - someone with a huge heart and unconditional love who is willing to help this sweet boy continue healing.

Mateo has already survived the unimaginable. Now he just needs someone to believe in him.

Mateo is a German Pincher mix, is 2 years old and approximately 29 lbs.

Please apply at:
www.DMDR.org/foster
www.DMDR.org/adopt
