Mason

Mason is a survivor! <br/>We are pleased to introduce you to Mason, also known as Masser by those who love and know him. His foster tells me that he is the smartest dog, she also tells me he is the most loving and most loyal dog she has ever worked with. Mason had a very rough start, he came to us from an open access shelter in Chicago with severely injured eye. As soon as we met him we knew we had to save him. We quickly got him to see a veterinarian, it within a couple days we had his eye removed. Mason feels so much better now that his eye is gone. He has healed up nicely! He is an older dog we are estimating his age to be between 10 and 12 years. He does take some time to warm up, we believe his life prior to coming to the shelter was not a good one. We believe that he may have been maltreated primarily by a man, because he does take some additional time to warm up to men. He definitely prefers women. But once you build trust with Mason, he will care for you and protect you forever. He prefers a less busy home, it would be great if he didn’t have multiple stairs to go up and down since he does have some arthritis and some difficulty walking around when it’s very cold outside. He loves his toys, he loves his kitties that he lives with and he loves his foster mama! Are you willing to put in the time to build trust and bring this handsome boy into your home?
