Location: Albany County, NY
We are not sure what Marvin is mixed with or if there is any shepherd in him at all.
Marvin is a big goofy high energy ball of love and energy. Did I say energy?! Marvin’s previous home failed, due to no fault of his own, but that he was not given the outlets needed and help to burn off his energy. We always stress the needs of the dogs in our program to our adopters, not because we are telling the new adopter what to do, but because we’ve come to know our dogs well, and know what their needs are.
Being adorable and loving and silly as Marvin is, his home still needs to give him a lot of energy outlets. Inside the house, lots of consistent rules and boundaries for Marvin or he can be a bull in a china shop!
He would do best with an avid hiker/runner or very high energy dog companion to run freely with, but of course still needs human direction, good leadership and human engagement in his daily activities.
Not all dogs can keep up with his play style, so a couple of meet and greets will be important.
Crate trained, rides well in the car, counter surfer and food scrounging pup! He loves food!
Too much energy shouldn’t be a reason this sweet, adorable guy can’t have the best home ever.
