Marlow's Story
This puppy was surrendered to the Fayette County Alabama Shelter without a mother. It is one of a litter of 5. Since they were too young to be away from a mother members of the local animal welfare organization, Fayette Friends of the Animal Shelter, took the 5 puppies home.

The puppies were frail but after worm treatment and days of bottle feeding, they seemed to be gaining ground. Suddenly all 5 became very sick. We thought it was Parvo. The pups were attended all night but 3 died. When the vet opened in the morning he diagnosed Giardia. They were treated and then a couple of days later the 2 survivors became sick again. This time the vet diagnosed Coccidia. After treatment for that, the survivors began to thrive. Now the remaining puppy, Marlow is a happy, curious, lovable little furry dew drop.

This little guy has had excellent treatment. When he is old enough he must have a Parvo and Rabies vaccination. Of course he must be neutered when old enough.

You can read about the trials and tribulations of Marlow and his litter mates on the Fayette Friends of the Animal Shelter Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61557885420054 and soon you will be able to read about him at FayetteFOTAS.com.

Now we just need to make some lucky family the gift of "puppy love".

You can call about Marlow since he is not at the Shelter. The Shelter will be closed until Monday. For now call any day, even Thanksgiving, 864-906 0481. Ask for Vicki.

If he is taken out often, he almost never uses his puppy pads. I think he will house train VERY fast.
